A very nice month indeed is awaiting PlayStation Plus subscribers, with the arrival of Hell Let Loose on PS5, and Mortal Kombat X and PGA for the PS4.
Unleash the dogs of war
Two brand new games headline this month’s selection of PlayStation freebies for PS+ subscribers. And depending on your fandom, they’re pretty big time releases.
For starters, there’s Hell Let Loose (for PS5). While the name might not be instantly recognizable, the multiplayer shooter has been out for a while on the PC, and gotten some good word of mouth. As you can see, it’s now come to consoles, and has immediately been tapped for PS+.
If more WWII action isn’t your thing, how about PGA Tour 2K21 for the PS4? From 2K Sports, last year’s edition of the long-running PGA Tour series arrives on Plus and brings the FedEx Cup Championship with it.
And finally, while it might not be a new game, Mortal Kombat X (also PS4) brings a little horror to the lineup just in time for Halloween. MKX was the soft-reboot, that saw a much grittier Mortal Kombat saga emerge, and one that sought to condense and forge a cohesive storyline out of it’s deep history. It’s kind of a modern fighting game classic.
All three games land on the service starting tomorrow (October 5th, 2021) and will be available for calming til November 1st, 2021. As usual and as long as you claim them, they’re free to download and play for the length of your PS+ membership.
