Hello there, (soon-to-be) farmers,
Have you ever thought about shaping and managing a lush vineyard full of grapes and olives on your very own farm? We’re just a few days away from Farming Simulator 22 being released on November 22 and the fulfillment of this dream of yours – even if the dream is just forming right now. With our latest map trailer, you’ll catch a glimpse of Haut-Beyleron, our Mediterranean map inspired by the south of France and its curvy fields, perfectly designed for rows and rows of grape vines and olive groves. There’s also a lot to see and to discover, like the traditional gondolas, floating on the rivers; the observatory, opening its dome at sundown to align the telescope with the stars; or the romantic castle on top of the hill.
You can take on agriculture, animal husbandry, and forestry on three distinct maps, though. In case the out-of-town charm of our US-Midwestern map, Elmcreek or the mountainous landscape of Erlengrat (just like in the European Alpine regions) is more appealing to you. Farming Simulator will not only feature new crops, new maps, new brands and machines, but new (optional) gameplay features like seasonal cycles and production chains.
How long a virtual year and its seasons will last, is entirely up to you. A month can consist of up to 28 days. With the seasons, there also come multiple challenges: You have to stick to the crop calendar when sowing and harvesting crops, and you have to prepare for winter. Your animals need feeding, and your roads have to be kept clear of snow. You can’t sow or harvest traditional crops during winter. But, thanks to greenhouses, you can still grow crops.
So, let’s grow some vegetables! Your greenhouses will be an essential asset to your bank account during winter. And to your soul, too, as dead trees and withered crops won’t dominate your farm. Never been so happy to see some green lettuce, have you? You can also grow tomatoes and strawberries. Either sell them, or deliver them to a production plant like the local bakery. Over there, strawberries and other ingredients will be used to bake delicious strawberry cake. And what does that mean? Correct, more profit for your farming operation. As you can see, your farming operation can grow quite big – if that’s your goal. And what helps to manage a steadily growing farm? Right, some friends and like-minded farmers! You can always get some help in multiplayer mode.
The best thing about it: it doesn’t matter what platform your friends are playing on! Recently, we announced cross-platform multiplayer, allowing you to farm together with all of your friends regardless of their chosen system. The new and improved character creator allows for individual characters, so everyone can farm in their own style. While you manage production plants, for example, you can let your friends help you out by tilling some fields, hauling goods to the selling points, or tending to the animals. Speaking of animals: The livestock got a lot cuter and fluffier in Farming Simulator 22. So, who wouldn’t like to tend to cows, chicken, sheep, pigs, and horses to keep them happy?
With our recently released Garage Trailer, we also showed some of the most exciting machines you can operate in Farming Simulator 22. Over 400 authentic machines from real brands like Case IH, CLAAS, DEUTZ-FAHR, Fendt, John Deere, KRONE, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many more will be available in the game. The amount of machines, together with new crops, and features like the above-mentioned production chains and seasonal cycles, will make Farming Simulator the biggest game we have ever launched. Before and after the release of Farming Simulator 22, we also keep you updated on our official YouTube channel and blog.
