Clint Eastwood makes his 1:6th debut with Sideshow Toys

At long last, Clint Eastwood fans have some collectibles to look forward to. The movie icon is making his debut with Sideshow’s The Man With No Name.

Who wants spaghetti?

There just aren’t that many collectible items out there featuring Clint Eastwood characters. Yes, there are movie posters and things along those lines, but I’m talking about statues and figures here. And there are precious few of those, if any.

That is about to change though, as Sideshow Toys is debuting the Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection. The new line will incorporate both statuary and figures, and launches with none other than The Man With No Name.

Eastwood’s most iconic ‘western’ themed character, The Man With No Name is just that, an unnamed gunslinger. He’s one of the central figures in The Dollars Trilogy of films. That includes A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

And now you can add this legendary outlaw to your display case.

Thanks to a powerhouse performance by the legendary Clint Eastwood, who took an almost silent role and turned it into a masterclass of understated intensity and quiet capability, The Man with No Name has become synonymous with the “outlaw with a strong moral code” archetype, and an indelible part of global pop culture.

If you’re looking for authenticity too, this is it. According to Sideshow’s Tom Gilliland, the piece was created with the approval of Eastwood himself.

As an actor, he has portrayed some of the most iconic characters ever to be filmed; but perhaps none so striking and so timeless an archetype as the literally nameless cowboy antihero: The Man with No Name. It has been a career high during my many decades in the collectibles industry to Art Direct this piece, working exclusively and closely with Clint himself.”

Just the beginning

While the above news is a fantastic development, it’s just the start of what’s coming from Sideshow. The Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection is set to include much more than one figure from The Dollars trilogy.

And from the promotional image, it’s definitely looking like Harry’s not too far off.

Sideshow’s Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection includes a series of statues and 1:6 scale figures inspired by some of the renowned actor’s most legendary roles. 

Working directly and exclusively with Clint Eastwood himself, Sideshow’s designers, sculptors, painters, and fabric artists are dedicated to producing the most detailed and screen-accurate representations of these beloved characters in collectible form.
